Free

I am now on an indefinite break. Muahahahahaha! It's so much fun, lepaking in KL again after a 3-month hiatus. I went to watch Grease on Friday nite and it was absolutely fantastic. Worth every cent i paid for the ticket. Songs were great, chicks were plentiful, and to top it all off, my car's radiator kong. What great timing. So i had to wake up early on Saturday morning (8:45am) to send my car to a workshop in Taman Tun. After checking the car, the mechanic diagnosed the problem as a blockage in the radiator and cracked hoses. There are sediments and sand trapped in the radiator thus blocking the water flow. I think. Anyway, the problem cost me RM 300. No wait, actually, the problem cost my dad RM 300. Hehehe.

I went to watch Da Vinci Code yesterday at 1U. It was okla, not bad. I dont know how much it differed from the book because it's been some time since i read it. A fren who didnt read the book said she couldnt quite follow wat was happening. After dinner, we went to Rush at Eastin Hotel. We went in after 11pm and it cost us 40 bucks man. The songs started out ok, R&B and all but then the DJ started playing techno. Habis mood. Then, people kept walking about where we were dancing and many of them were doing the shuffle which took quite some space. One idiot managed to step on my shoe when he was walking past me, leaving black stains on the top of my shoe. Luckily the stains came off when i cleaned it with a sponge. All in all, Rush wasnt as fun as i thought so next time it's gonna be another place to club.

We'll be leaving for Penang tomorrow. Cant wait for the road trip cause it'll be a blast.

On another note, Thierry Henry is staying at Arsenal for the rest of his career. I think it's great news for Arsenal fans and also EPL fans. Although i'm a die hard Man Utd fan, i appreciate great talents who grace the beautiful game, no matter what club they play for. So it'll be great watching Henry's silky skills, tremendous pace, and French flair in the Premiership. Another thing that i respect Henry for is his loyalty to his club. Although he was contemplating leaving Arsenal for another club, his heart told him to stay with the club who transformed him from a pacy winger into the best player in the Premiership for the last 3 years. So, hats off to you Monsieur Henry and i look forward to more of your skills and goals (of course not against United) in the EPL.

There's Only One Keano

I woke up early this morning to watch Roy Keane's testimonial match. More than 69,000 United and Celtic fans turned up to honour one of the greatest midfielders the world has ever seen. Chants of "There's only one Keano" and "Keano, Keano" reverberated around Old Trafford for the whole 90 minutes. Although he wasn't the as talented as players like Cantona or Giggs, his obsession with winning and the demand he puts on others made him the most influential player in the dressing room and one of United greatest ever captains. Sir Alex describes him as the best player that he's ever had at United.

Keane's passion, drive and never-say-die attitude embodies everything that United are. The match against Juventus in the semi final second leg in 1999 is widely regarded as his best ever match in a red shirt. Even after he was yellow carded and knew he would miss the final, he kept his head high and inspired United to victory with a goal and a captain's performance. Lesser players would surely succumb to the heartache of missing the Champions League final, but not Keane. He has always put the team above himself because to Keane, his duty is to the team and the club.

Roy Keane in the familiar red 16 jersey walking out onto
Old Trafford for the last time.

Yesterday was the last time Old Trafford will see Roy Keane in the red shirt with the captain's armband strapped onto his arm. I am fortunate to witness Keane in his prime at United. I feel sorry for the future United fans who wouldn't be able to see first hand how great a player he is. The next player who puts on the red number 16 jersey has a very huge shirt to fill because to the United fans, that jersey belongs to only one man and his name is Roy Keane.

So, thanks Roy for all the memories and trophies that you've given us in your 12 very successful years as a Manchester United player.

10 Days More

  • till i sit for my last paper in MMU.

  • till i graduate from MMU.

  • till i add to the growing number of unemployed graduates in Malaysia.

  • till i get to watch Grease the musical.

  • till i start my post-university adventure.

Oh, just to remind you folks out there, it's exactly 30 days more to the start of the biggest and greatest show on earth. Just in case some dumbass out there somehow manage to forget it. Please dont ask me what show i'm talking about because i'll just tell you to go bang your head on the wall till you make a big hole in it.

Anyway, i handed in my last assignment and attended my last lecture and tutorial today. After the last class, we had an emotional conversation with our lecturer. Here's what it's all about.

Us: Sir, please help us in our exam, sir. We want to graduate.
Lect: And you think i dont want you all to graduate? I also want you all to graduate. Is it my fault that the subject is difficult?

Us: Sir, is the exam paper difficult?
Lect: I dont know if it is difficult or not. You tell me whether it's difficult or not on the day of the exam.

Us: Sir, this subject is difficult. You can see it in the midterm marks.
Lect: Yeah this subject is difficult. It's supposed to be taught over one year, not in one trimester. But one person managed to get 16 out of 20 for midterm.
Us: But wat is the average mark for the midterm?
Lect: The average is about 10.5 and i agree that it's not a good average. But, dont worry about the exam. You just concentrate on your studying. The paper is very easy.

The last time he said the paper is very easy was before the midterm. And judging from history, that's not very encouraging, is it?

Anyway, back to the good news. I'll now outline the post-exam schedule that i'm looking forward to.

My presentation is tomorrow. I hate presenting because i'll just talk nonsense and mumble my way through. So, a job in sales is a definite no-no for me. :)
